Ever wonder why almost all professional sports teams have a chiropractor on their staff?

In talking with my good friend who was an orthopedic resident for the San Franscisco 49s, he said that by far the busiest doctor on the field was the chiropractor.  He said in talking to the players about chiropractic most of them said chiropractic not only helped them get back on the field quickly after injury, but they felt it literally helped them improve their performance.  Many said chiropractic made them quicker, faster and play at a higher level.

The athletes also said it made sense to them that proactively preventing injuries is just as important as recovering from injuries.  Chiropractors who kept them in as good of spinal balance and function as possible, helped them avoid injury in the first place.

Dr. Baietto was recruited to play basketball in university and played tennis in University as well.  He loves working with athletes and has had the opportunity to work with several professional athletes.

He gives athletes special discounts in the office because he knows how expensive being in sports is today and he wants all athletes to have the opportunity to get the proactive chiropractic that will help them.

1.      Treat injuries 2.      Improve performance 3.      Prevent injuries

Here are what some professional athletes have said about chiropractic.

Team Captain Colorado Avalanche, 9-time NHL all-star, 2 Stanley Cups

”I see the chiropractor on a regular basis. I find that after my treatments I have better flexibility and improved range of motion. I recover quicker from injuries. I have more “jump” in my game and it improves my performance.”

 - Joe Sakic (‘Burnaby Joe’)

New England Patriots QB, 3 -Time Super Bowl Champion, 2 - Time Super Bowl MVP

“Chiropractic just makes you feel so much better. When I walk out of the clinic, I feel like I’m about three inches taller and everything’s in place. And as long as I see the chiropractor, I feel like I’m one step ahead of the game.”

- Tom Brady

6 time NBA Champion (could have been 9 in a row), MVP

“I didn’t know how much I could improve until I started seeing a chiropractor? Since I’ve been in chiropractic, I’ve improved by leaps and bounds, both mentally and physically.”

- Michael Jordan

Won 14 Majors, 70 PGA Wins, Youngest to win all 4 Championships, Male Athlete of the Year 97, 99, 2000

“Being a chiropractic patient has really helped me a lot. When I was in a growth spurt, my back became very sore, and I was weak. My chiropractor really helped me. Not only did he adjust my spine, he also gave me strengthening exercises to do. If you are tall and gangly like I am, or play sports, I would recommend chiropractic.”

- Tiger Woods

Wide Receiver ~ 3 time Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP

“I believe in chiropractic, and I know it works. You probably know about my long and successful career in football. I’m flattered by the testimonials to my durability. Football is a very rough and vigorous sport. Chiropractic was the key to keeping me in the game.”

 - Jerry Rice

 Arnold Schwarzenegger

At the age of 23, the youngest Mr. Olympia ever. He would win the title the next 5 years in a row. "Bodybuilders and fitness people have been using chiropractic very extensively in order to stay healthy and fit. I found it was better to go to a chiropractor before you get injured. We are a perfect team- the world of fitness and the world of chiropractors. I am very fortunate to have, so-to-speak, my in-house chiropractor, Dr. Franco Colombo, as my own personal chiropractor.

So, I visit Franco regularly, and he comes over to my house. He adjusts my wife, my kids, me, everybody gets an adjustment. And we feel always great when Franco leaves. Even when I have athletic injuries he's always there for me, and helps me.
